Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Roof Rangers Ltd. We aim to provide a prompt, professional roofing service while minimising disruption to your household. By engaging our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:
1. Health & Safety
1.1. All works onsite will adhere to the WorkSafe NZ Health & Safety Regulations 2016.
1.2. Workmanship will comply with the standards outlined in the NZ Metal Roofing & Wall Cladding Code of Practice.
1.3. Roof Rangers Ltd will provide all necessary fall protection and scaffolding where there is a fall hazard greater than 2 metres.
2. Deposits and Payments
2.1. A 50% deposit is required upon acceptance of the quote to secure calendar dates, procure materials, and establish site safety.
2.2. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the project.
2.3. Progress payments may be requested for unforeseen delays, such as inclement weather or subcontractor delays. These payments will be mutually agreed based on project completion percentage.
2.4. Materials remain the property of Roof Rangers Ltd until the account is paid in full.
3. Project Timelines
3.1. Procurement of materials may take 2–16 weeks, depending on the chosen colour, grade, and profile. This may affect the project start date.
3.2. During the project, please be aware that your property will be a live worksite with associated noise, materials, waste, and equipment present. Exclusion zones and visual barriers will be established for safety.
4. Customer Responsibilities
4.1. Please remove or cover items such as barbecues, outdoor furniture, pot plants, and ornaments to allow safe access for fall protection setup.
4.2. Pets should be leashed or kept indoors. Lawns must be mowed, and pet waste cleared to facilitate effective site cleaning.
4.3. For safety reasons, children must remain indoors during the project.
4.4. Inform your home insurance provider of the works being undertaken.
5. Structural and Additional Works
5.1. If structural components such as purlins, rafters, fascias, or barges require repair or replacement during the project, these works will be carried out to maintain quality. These repairs may not be visible during the initial site inspection and could incur additional costs.
5.2. The following are not included in the quoted price unless explicitly agreed:
- Supply or installation of insulation for the house or garage.
- Antenna reconnection or retuning.
- Removal or reinstallation of weatherboards or cladding for flashing work.
- Painting of weatherboards, cladding, or barge boards.
- Replacement of rotten purlins, rafters, or other timber.
6. Waste Management and Site Clean-Up
6.1. Roof Rangers Ltd will remove all waste from the site upon project completion.
6.2. Materials will be secured, and the home will be made watertight as reasonably practicable at the end of each working day.
7. Warranties
7.1. All workmanship is guaranteed for 15 years, effective from the date of full project completion.
7.2. Manufacturer warranties will be provided upon receipt of full payment. Please allow 3–4 weeks for processing.
8. Insurance
8.1. Roof Rangers Ltd provides insurance to cover the scope of works detailed in the quote.
8.2. Clients must notify their own insurance provider of any roofing works being undertaken.
9. Limitations of Liability
9.1. Roof Rangers Ltd shall not be held liable for delays caused by factors beyond our control, such as adverse weather conditions or subcontractor delays.
9.2. The client agrees to bear responsibility for any damages resulting from failure to follow the responsibilities outlined in Section 4.
10. Changes to Terms
Roof Rangers Ltd reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions as necessary. Any changes will be communicated prior to the commencement of works.
